Western Australian Cricket Masters (WACM) is the state's peak representative body for cricket players aged 40 and over. Affiliated with Cricket Australia Masters and WA Cricket, we field representative teams across men's Over 40s, 50s, 55s, 60s, 65s and 70s, as well as women's Over 40s, competing in national championships each year.

On our History Page, Western Australian Cricket Masters (formerly known as Western Australian Veterans Cricket) was created with the intention to get a bunch of mates to play in the National Championships for the Over 60s players. One of the primary reasons for WACM's existence is that the community that has been created within WACM amongst its members, forms an integral part in helping our members deal with mental health.

Sporting Clubs play an important part in the mental health of its members where members can get together with mates and talk about things that they otherwise would not talk about in the comfort of being around mates and a safe place and reminisce and talk about the "good ol days".

We have found that this has almost become the primary benefit of being a member of WACM.

You need to be 40 years of age or older to be eligible to play with Western Australian Cricket Masters. We have age group teams from Over 40s through to Over 70s, so whether you are just turning 40 or well into your 70s, there is a place for you in our competition. When playing in the National Championships you need to be turning that age in the year of the tournament. For example, if you are 39 and turning 40 this year you can play Over 40s in that year.

Registration is done through PlayHQ, Cricket Australia's official player registration platform. Simply create or log in to your PlayHQ account, search for Western Australian Cricket Masters, and follow the prompts to register for your relevant age group. No. While many of our players have a background in club or grade cricket, it is not a requirement. Western Australian Cricket Masters welcomes players of all experience levels who have a love of the game and want to stay active and connected through cricket.

We run our own competitions within the State for you to compete in and to be considered for selections in the State squads to tour and play in the National Championships.

Our representative teams compete annually in the Cricket Australia Masters National Championships, held across various states and territories. WA players also have opportunities to represent Australia in international tours, world cups, and bilateral series across multiple age groups.
